Up for Sale here is 1 seedling. Cherry plum is a very nice small fruit tree that makes a great addition to the home orchard. This plant is widely sold as a fruit tree in Europe but is not commonly sold here as one. It produces large numbers of cherry plums. They look like they are a mix between a cherry and a plum. The fruit is about half way between a standard red plum and that of a cherry. The fruit is sweet and tastes more like a plum than a cherry. The plants are very hardy and are closely related to the purple leaf plums and ornamental flowering plums except true cherry plums are grown for their fruit rather than their showy flowers or foliage. These plums are also fast growing and bear fruit about 3 years after planting. They still put on a good display of flowers in spring. These are 12-18 inch seedlings that are hardy from zone 4b-8.
