Large handmade Turkish kilim travel weekender luggage by International Market Gallery, made in Turkey with wool and leather. Doctor style closure, short handle. PLEASE READ - SOLD AS IS.
Dyed wool exterior has many signs of moth eaten wear throughout, I've hand-vacuumed this repeatedly but cannot clean it any further. There are no current moths, but the residue is still there. Some parts of the exterior have become extremely threadbare where the colored pattern is all gone, and particularly at the bottom of one of the short sides the white structural threads are broken.
However, inside leather is in excellent condition, the moths did not eat through the leather; just the exterior decorative textile. There is a striped fabric between the exterior wool and the interior leather, which is visible under the moth-eaten exterior parts.
Inside bag has an additional large zippered pocket on side. Straps are functional on outside to keep bag closed, it secures shut with a metal latch claps that easily releases.
NOTE this bag does NOT stand up on its own - I have propped it up with a box inside for photographs. Bag was never used by previous owner, stored as a decor piece which works very well (with something inside it to keep it upright) but can definitely be used as a weekender duffle bag or travel luggage.
Again, sold as is with visible damage to exterior including scuffs and markings across the leather as well. This is not new, this has plenty of worn wear throughout from moving around, but functions beautifully and adds great accent to any room.
