Vintage Groovy 1960s White Round SAMSONITE SILHOUETTE 1540 Suitcase Luggage
Up for sale is this Vintage Groovy 1960s White Round SAMSONITE SILHOUETTE Style No. 1540 Suitcase with a thick rubber Loop Handle.
This has a peachy tan Rayon fabric (like taffeta) lined interior with 7 elastic pockets (2 with snaps) and matching grosgrain ribbon strapping. It has four round nickel feet on the bottom of the case.
Condition: Very good used condition. Been in my aunts extra bedroom since 1975 at least. There are no bad smells. The 2 latches work very well. There is no key so I cannot say if the lock works.
The fabric lining inside is pristine.
All the elastic is still in good condition. Some normal signs of use...primarily some rubs and scratches on the exterior....but overall excellent for its age.
Measurements: 18 1/4" across, 16 5/8" tall (not including the strap) and 7 1/2" deep.
I’m willing to pack this up and ship it, however, that’s gonna be a bit expensive. I think everyone would prefer a local pick up if possible.
