Vintage Marley Hodgson Ghurka Bags: #68 The Porter and #18 The Pullman-

The Marley Hodgson Ghurka Bag Co. of Norwalk, CA has been famous for producing dashing high quality outdoor bags for over 40 years. Both these bags are circa mid-1980's. The "Porter" #68 Deluxe Carry Bag is in excellent condition, with light use. Only real issue being that the two rivets that hold down the zipper straps on each end have pulled from their place. As seen in the pictures, this bag has very little use. Has been stored away for many years. Any Vintage Marley Hodgson Ghurka Bags are rare to encounter today, especially a deluxe bag of this kind. The "Pullman" #18 is in good overall condition and shows some signs of wear. There is some scuffing around the leather trimming on the bottom. The two main issues here are one missing post tab closure for the flap pocket and a small pull/perforation in the bottom corner of the flap pocket side. Both seen in photos. It was used many years ago, and has also been in storage for many years. As with any pieces of luggage there are some slight signs of wear and very minor stains from traveling, only adding to the bag's undeniable character (please examine photos). Both could use a cleaning and conditioning to bring back to lustre. I have never had them cleaned or reconditioned. Rare opportunity to own a set of these two classic vintage bags.
