Rare 1933 “The Old Man's Engineers” Brass Watch Fob / Luggage Tag from the University of Texas. "The Old Man's Engineers" was apparently a well known nickname for UT engineering students. “The Old Man" refers to Dean of Engineering Thomas Taylor, who gave these fobs to Senior engineering students. The large check mark - dubbed a "ram's horn" by students - was Taylor's trademark check for a perfect grade on a paper or exam. Fob measures approximately 1-3/4" x 1-1/2" and is attached to a leather band, as pictured. Overall good condition with wear consistent with age and use, and some minor oxidation, but no significant damage. Please see photos. Ships with USPS Priority Mail. Thank you for looking.
